Application Protocol

How to Use

Leave-on serum. This serum works on its own as a daily evening treatment — no microneedling required. However, applying it immediately post-microneedling, while micro-channels are still open, significantly amplifies absorption and results. The combination of GHK-Cu and microneedling together produces the strongest tissue-repair effect.

Cleanse skin thoroughly with a gentle, pH-balanced cleanser. Pat dry.
Dispense 2-3 drops of Recovery Serum onto fingertips.
Apply to target areas using gentle pressing motions — do not rub or drag across the skin.
Allow 1-2 minutes for full absorption before layering additional products.
Leave on the skin — do not rinse off. Follow with a moisturizer or occlusive to seal in active ingredients.
Use once daily in the evening, or as directed post-procedure.

Advanced Application

Microneedling Compatibility

This serum is formulated to be compatible with microneedling (collagen induction therapy). GHK-Cu is well-suited for post-microneedling application due to its tissue repair and anti-inflammatory signaling properties.

Needle Depth Guidelines

Timing Protocol

Application timing varies by needle depth. Deeper treatments create more significant barrier disruption and require longer wait times before applying actives.

0.25–0.5 mm: Apply serum immediately after microneedling while micro-channels are still open (within 5 minutes). These superficial depths enhance absorption without significant dermal disruption.
1.0 mm: Wait until pinpoint bleeding has fully stopped before applying. Allow skin to calm for at least 1–2 hours post-procedure.
1.5 mm+: Wait 12–24 hours before applying. At these depths, the dermal barrier is significantly disrupted — applying actives too soon may cause excessive irritation. Use only a gentle moisturizer in the interim. Professional setting recommended.
Do not wash the treated area for at least 4 hours post-application.
Reapply serum the following morning and evening for 48-72 hours post-procedure to support recovery.

Actives to Avoid Combining

Retinol / Retinoids — discontinue 3-5 days before microneedling and 3 days after.
Vitamin C (L-Ascorbic Acid) — avoid for 24-48 hours post-procedure due to pH sensitivity.
AHA/BHA exfoliants — discontinue 48 hours before and after microneedling.
Benzoyl Peroxide — avoid for 48 hours post-procedure (can cause excessive drying and irritation).

Do not use this product on:

Broken, sunburned, or compromised skin
Active acne lesions or pustules
Skin experiencing an active rosacea flare
Open wounds or freshly sutured areas
Areas with active eczema or dermatitis

If irritation, redness, or swelling occurs beyond expected post-procedure response, discontinue use and consult a dermatologist.

Storage Instructions

Store in a cool, dry place between 15-25 °C (59-77 °F).
Keep away from direct sunlight and heat sources — amber glass provides UV protection but is not a substitute for proper storage.
Refrigeration is acceptable and may extend potency of the copper peptide complex.
Keep bottle tightly sealed when not in use to prevent oxidation.
Use within 6 months of opening.
